Traditional Art Form with a Modern Twist

Wanting to share this beautiful art style from her Mexican heritage with the world, Paulina has taken the base of this art form and created pieces with a modern twist, still conveying feelings and ideas through every delicate placement of a glass bead.

  • Where is it from?

    The Huichols are an indigenous people who mostly live in the mountainous areas of northern Jalisco and parts of Nayarit in north central Mexico. The symbols they use to decorate art pieces serve as a form of preserving ceremonies, myths and beliefs of the ancient Huichol religion.

  • Meaning behind patterns

    Every design and pattern has religious, symbolic or cultural significance for the Huichol people- their beautiful artwork tells stories keeping their culture alive.
